Project Spotlight | Conquering Hard Soil: Successful Completion of a 12MW Power Plant in Pakistan

On the vast land of Pakistan, a 12MW ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant was recently successfully connected to the grid. The project was implemented in two phases: the first phase of 8MW and the second phase of 4MW, all utilizing Grace Solar' s custom-designed ground-mounted racking systems.

Geological Challenges

During the initial phase of the project, the construction team encountered unexpected geological obstacles: the soil on-site was exceptionally hard, making it nearly impossible to install ground screws. After receiving feedback, the R&D team confirmed that the area consisted of dense cobblestone strata and promptly adjusted the installation methodology, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work.

Precision in Construction

In the second phase of the project, despite prior optimization of the solution, some screws still exhibited rotational deviation during installation. The technical team immediately initiated an emergency response, using 3D simulation to reconstruct the installation process. It was discovered that angular misalignment was the root cause. To address this, technicians arrived on-site to adjust the installation angles, resolving the issue and ensuring the project was connected to the grid as scheduled. Under the dual constraints of time and nature, the Grace Solar team steadfastly overcame every challenge.

Local Empowerment

After the project’ s completion, the Grace Solar team conducted comprehensive testing of the installation system. Under simulated natural environmental conditions, the stability of the racking system performed exceptionally well. Beyond the project itself, Grace Solar also provided systematic technical training for the local construction team, covering key aspects such as construction techniques for special geological conditions and installation quality control. By combining theoretical explanations with hands-on guidance, valuable experience was accumulated for future projects. The successful implementation of the Pakistan project not only demonstrated our technical strength in challenging geological conditions but also reflected the service philosophy of "Global Technology, Local Adaptation."
