India plans to renewable energy targets of 175000 MW in 2022
According to India's economic times, India's government announced on Saturday that the large-scale development of green energy, and will be the country's 2022 target forrenewable energy production of 175000 megawatts (mw = 1000 kw).
India's finance minister ArunJaitley budget proposal, said the next seven years will strive to achieve total 175000 megawatts of green energy production, including 100000 megawatts of solar energy, wind power 60000 mw, 10000 mw biomass and 5000 megawatts of small hydropower project. At present, the Indian solar power generation capacity is about 3000 megawatts, about 25 mw hydropower capacity.
"Although coal-fired thermal power project uncertainties still exist, but in India the government's efforts, the power industry development is very rapid. In addition, the government also aggressively launching new energy and renewable energy projects," said ArunJaitley.

Indian energy secretary PiyushGoyal said, the future of renewable energy market investment will reach $100 billion, a lot of domestic and foreign companies have expressed strong interest to the development potential of green energy. Before, renewable energy power accounted for about 6.5% of that figure is expected to double in the next three years. He had previously disclosed that to 2022, 20000 megawatts of solar energy plan goal will be pushed up to 100000 mw.Government will be particularly in view of the grid parity, make solar worth the investment, the industry will be able to self-sufficiency.
It is reported that India is one of the fastest growing global economy, power consumption is second only to China and the United States, the world's third. The entire energy industry in India, 69% comes from the heat, 8.8% from nuclear power, 16.6% comes from the water and electricity, 12.47% comes from renewable energy sources.Mouth but now India's 400 million people are still without power supply, power demand will grow over the next 12 years India 2.5 times, gap between 2.5 to 35000 megawatts.
